Smithy J. Legett - 22 Feb 1838 -
Above 4 stones were in the Rouse Cemetery and moved to Willow
Grove
along with a number of other later Rouse people. Nothing says
Smithy
was a daughter of William and Nancy but age would so indicate.
In an
explanation of the removal of the graves there is this
information -
William was from Lenoir Co and Smithy J. Leggett was his
daughter.
NOTE: John Rouse Jr and his wife Winifred Smith is said to
have had a
son William and a daughter Smythe. The above would indicate
this
William was a possible son of John Rouse Jr - really John
Rouse III
