Information from Margaret Gibson - preacherken@tds.net

The J.W. Rouse on the 1860 census is John W. Rouse. He is on
   the 1850 census

and I will send you a copy of

it. I went back to make sure he was there and it lists him as
   follows:

   Laney Rouse age 6 F

   John W. Rouse age 2 M

In the 199th household just above John W. is listed a Bythel

(Above from the Columbus Co Census Project - the transcriber
   may have a

   connection to J. W. Rouse)

   NOTE: From Margaret

It is interesting to me that on the 1860 Census in the
   household of J.W.

Rouse is listed one Richard Rouse age 10 that would be the
   same age as

Joshua Rouse, Jr.'s son who is listed on the 1850 census as
   age 6

months. It may be Joshua Rouse, Jr. was killed in the war and
   John took

him to raise. It is possible that John and Joshua were
   brothers, but

would it be usual for the Junior of the family to be the
   youngest child?

He married Amy (Anna)Baldwin, several children, moved to Leon
