This Bible was found by a resident of Lenoir Co at a Flea Market and the finder called Glenn Fields who took it off his hands and transcribed it. Copies of the scanned Bible can be found on the Lenoir Co Archives site - http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/lenoir/images/oxleyfamily.html Glenn has donated the actual Bible to Joyner Library, ECU. We thank him for rescuing this Bible and making it available. On the first, blank, page under the front cover of the Bible there is penned the words "Oxley Family Bible". In the center of the Bible there are four pages for the recording of marriages, births and deaths. Below is the transcript of these pages.
