Moses Hart was suggested by well known professional researcher, Jonathan B. Butcher, dec, to be the father of many or most of the Harts in old Dobbs County. Moses came from Nansemond Co., Virginia, first to Pitt and then to Dobbs/Greene County. He died by 1786, therefore it is reasonable to conclude the remaining records are of a younger Moses Hart, possibly a son.
