Lula May died in Kinston, NC. She was put on a train and taken to Cove City. There she was transferred to a tobacco truck and driven to the Heath House down the Swamp (Heath Swamp Road, Duffy T. Heath's house). She and her baby were put in the palor, the casket sitting between two chairs. Later she was buried in the Heath Cemetery in the field down from the house. She was just 26 years old.

Lula married Clarence Wayne Heath on 25 Apr 1910 in Craven Co., NC. Clarence was born on 2 Mar 1891 in Cove City, Craven Co., NC. He died on 5 Mar 1973 in Cove City, Craven Co., NC. He was buried in Heath Cemetery, Cove City, Craven Co., NC.

I Clarence Wayne Heath, being of sound mind in body and spirit do make herewith my last will and testament. And do make my son Deward M. Heath and C. B. McCoy for Executors to my will without recourse and without a lawyer and without charge in anyway.
I do will and bequeth to my son Deward the Dinning Table which belong to my mother. To my Daughter Dorothy the rug in the front room which the children gave to me and my dear wife Lovie as a present.
To Hazel my daughter my mother's camphor jug and anything else she wants of my household furniture. Also to my daughter Geneva the Deep Freezer in the porch. To my daughter Elizabeth the homemade chest of drawers which came from her grandmother Cora McCain. Also, to my son Tommie the China Closet which came from same in the front room. Then what is left to be sold at auction and to be equally divided into six parts and part to each of my children.
My Executors are to have power of atorney to draw what money I have in the bank without recourse also to see the Social Security Board and get the 3 months of my social security which will be due at my death and after my death expenses are paid if anything left shall be divided as above. Geneva has my strong box at her house and what is in there is to be divided like wise the combonation you will find here with. Also I have with the Woodman of the World a Polocy for $500.00 dollars which will also be in my Estate this Polocy is made to Geneva my daughter which she will turn over to my Executors. Eunice was named for her mother's baby sister, Eunice C. Hawkins, who died at one year of age. Eunice's middle name was from Alpheus Cleveland Avery, her father's half brother.
